Sreedevi is a registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist. Having over 5 years of mental health experience working (both in Ontario and British Columbia), in health centers, non-profits, educational settings, and hospitals, Sreedevi has developed a comprehensive skillset working with diverse clients with various mental health needs. She is skilled in providing an integrated approach to therapy, using a client centered, anti-oppressive, and trauma focused lens for anyone experiencing depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, grief & loss, life transitions, relational difficulties, trauma, and school/work stress. Sreedevi incorporates modalities such as mindfulness, self-compassion, dialectical behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, emotion-focused, insight-oriented, and somatic based therapy.
Therapy is a co-created space between the therapist and the client, where trust and vulnerability is essential. Sreedevi believes in creating a collaborative and strengths-focused relationship to form this and prioritizes going with the client’s pace. She is committed to fostering a non-judgmental, validating, and safe space to explore new insights into yourself and build new skills such as assertive communication and coping skills for self-regulation.
In therapy, Sreedevi acts as a witness and a facilitator to your journey to discover more about yourself, hold space for your own humanity, and work towards realignment with your authentic self. If these reflect your goals in your healing journey, please feel free to arrange a consultation to assess if there is a good fit for working together.
Sreedevi is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and the Ontario Association of Social Workers (OASW).
