A central aspect of my practice is creating a safe, confidential, and collaborative space where you can address your concerns at a pace that feels comfortable for you. The success of therapy relies on the strength of the therapeutic relationship, which is why I focus on cultivating an empathetic, client-centered space to enhance your well-being. Understanding that your needs, strengths, and goals are unique, I tailor our sessions to suit your individual objectives, ensuring we work together toward a plan that best supports you.
Drawing from various evidence-based practices, my approach to therapy is trauma-informed, solution-focused, and strengths-based. I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your experiences, ensuring you feel both heard and empowered. By focusing on your unique strengths, I will help you build self-awareness, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop strategies to overcome challenges and create lasting, positive change.
Originally from Southeast Asia, I am fluent in English and Bengali, with a strong understanding of Hindi. My multicultural background and experience as an immigrant allow me to offer therapy that is culturally sensitive, supporting clients in navigating new
environments and challenges.
My academic background includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Wilfrid Laurier University, a Bachelor of Education from Nipissing University, and a Master of Social Work from the University of Windsor. In addition to my role as a Psychotherapist at Wellnest, I am also a high school teacher, which broadens the perspective I bring to my therapeutic practice.
