I am a Registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals through mental health and psycho-social challenges. I’ve had the privilege of working with youth, adults, couples, and first responders in both hospital and community settings, helping them navigate difficult times, build resilience, and foster positive changes in their lives.
I hold a degree in Child and Youth Work and a Master’s in Social Work, along with specialized training in EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), the Gottman Method for couples therapy (Levels 1 and 2), Complex PTSD, and Addiction Care. These qualifications allow me to provide a wide range of therapeutic approaches to support individuals dealing with emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, relationship issues, and more.
In my previous role as a Crisis Intervention Specialist in the Emergency Department across York Region, I worked closely with thousands of patients and families, conducting crisis assessments, providing interventions, and offering short-term counseling. My goal was always to help individuals develop healthy coping strategies and support them on their path to healing.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, relationship challenges, or navigating life’s stresses, I’m here to guide and support you. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and goal-oriented, focused on helping you identify your strengths and discover new ways to thrive. I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, but I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can work toward creating the positive changes you need to move forward with confidence. Together, we can work to unlock your potential and help you live a more fulfilling, meaningful life.
No matter what challenges you’re facing, I’m here to help guide you every step of the way, helping you unlock your potential and work toward a fulfilling and meaningful life.
